One horse, one rider, one day, one hundred miles.

By Donna O'Gara

We intend to present photos and stories as the ride happens. Our first pictures should be posted on the Thursday before the ride, showing pre-race preparations, with more posted on Friday showing the vet-in, and scenes from the camp. We will record the sounds of the start, and have that on the site for you within an hour or two.

Beginning Saturday morning we will be taking photographs as soon as the light permits, and posting them frequently throughout the day. Sunday will bring the judging for the Haggin Cup, awarded to one of the first 10 finishers. The Haggin Cup is awarded to the horse (or mule) that is considered by the team of veterinary judges to be the one in the best condition. Last year the winner of the Haggin Cup was Ruby the mule.

There are other reports being posted on other sites. Click the "Other Reports" button to see where they are.
